This pretty starlet was Virginia Rappe.

Ironically, her name contains eerie elements of her destiny.... The Rape of the (vestal) Virgins (?!) comes to mind.

Raped with a Coke bottle (later said to be a Champagne bottle!) during a fairly intimate orgy- given such a thing exists- in a suite of the plush St.Francis Hotel in San Francisco, she died shortly thereafter from internal bleeding.
