Los vi de 'suporte' a XTC en el 78/79.
Me recuerdo que me impactó el estilo escenico del bajista. Pendulaba como un gran metronomo humano en el escenario.

Las leyes del consumismo se veen reflejadas en los gustos culinarios.
Issei Sagawa: While taking classes at the famed Sorbonne, Issei Sagawa, the son of a wealthy Tokyo industrialist, invited fellow student Renee Hartevelt to his apartment to discuss literature. Once the unsuspecting "dinner guest" arrived, the slightly-built Sagawa shot her in the back of the neck, had sex with her corpse, and started nibbling on her nose and part of a breast. "It had no smell or taste, and melted in my mouth like raw tuna," he wrote in In the Fog, his post-cannibal best-selling account of his dinner with Renee. "Finally I was eating a beautiful white woman, and thought nothing was so delicious!"
In custody Sagawa was found incompetent to stand trial and placed in the Paul Guiraud asylum in Paris. Through family connections he was transferred to a hospital in Tokyo. And within fifteen months of hospitalization his influential father secured his release. By then, Sagawa had become a national celebrity, an accomplished author, and his "Parisian affair" was parodied in the song "Too Much Blood" by the Rolling Stones.

Maltratan Hamsters. Volverán?

"Tan solo un par de minutos después, se abrió el telón y sobre el escenario aparecieron tres individuos en mamelucos blancos y mullidos, cual piel de hamster, sentados sobre diminutas banquetas. Así, arrancó Maltratan Hamsters, el trío vocal, humorísitico y hasta teatral por momentos que comanda Andrea Prodan, en el que se intercalan tangos, rap, reggae y arreglos corales con un exquisito sentido del humor. Como se dice en estos casos (y no por caer en un lugar común) fueron ovacionados a más no poder por toda la sala, que estalló en carcajadas continuamente. Es que una propuesta tan original, y a la vez entretenida, merecía ser reconocida como tal. Excelente, y además, divertidísimo."

Frost over the World - Wim Wenders - 11 Jan 08
David Frost era un conocido de los Monty Python y dió trabajo a 3 de ellos cuando eran muy jovenes, y él ea ya famoso. Hoy en dia este viejo bolú se vee borracho y insolente (aquí con un simpático y honesto Wenders), poniendo en juego el peor tipo de patoterísmo pseudo-intelectual 'British Style'.

La ultima pelicula del MAESTRO... Akira Kurosawa.
Por momentos lenta,pedante,patética. MUY personal.
Pero, su final (visto en el contexto de todo el film) es ABSOLUTAMENTE extraordinario. El último sueño. El hombre es un niño, el universo es una maravilla.
Lagrimas y sonrisas.
"Estás listo?"..... (gritan los compañeritos)
"Todavía no!! 'madadayo' " (responde el pequeño).
Y, como diría Salvatore Quasimodo, "Ed è subito sera¨.

Ví esta pelicula cuando salió, en el cine, en Roma. Fui con Rory Aitken, mi amigo Italo-Escocés.
Las pelis de horror siempre me parecieron boludas y ridículas. SUSPIRIA no. Es medio kitsch... pero tiene lo suyo!

Homenaje a Sokol (Las pelotas - Menos mal)
Hermosura triste.

Joe D'Amato (Aristide Massaccesi) y Tinto Brass.
Cuando empecé mi 'carrera' de actor (ca. 1983) uno de los primeros directores que me ofrecieron un papel era el rey del Porno/B-Movie Joe D'Amato. No accepté.
Varios años después, cuando yo tenía cierta experiencia con directores de calibro, me buscó otro cultor del genero... Tinto Brass. La peli se llamaba 'L'Uomo che Guarda' y se basaba en un libro de Alberto Moravia. En mi encuentro con el director, me explicó en modo muy seductor y intelectual, el SENTIDO de mi papel (protagónico) en su pelicula. Cauteloso pero curioso me fui a casa con el guión en la mano.
La primera escena me tenía protagonista de un largo fellatio en un restaurant chino.
Mi agente me pidió no acceptar.

pd. Tinto Brass dirigió 'CALIGULA', película que inspiró el nombre de mi banda, ROMAPAGANA.

Cuando trabajaba como asistente de mi hermana Michela (secretaria del Jurado) en el Festival de Cine de Venezia en el 1982, vi a esta peli (que eventualmente ganó el 1er premio) y me encantó.
Habría que volver a verla hoy, para ver si resistió al pasar de los años.
